A boy from Keene NH was seriously injured over the weekend when a potato gun fired in his face. Police in Alstead say the potato gun apparently malfunctioned as the boy was looking at it and the weapon discharged in his face. He was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. So far, neither his name nor his condition has been released.
Rutland Vermont’s police chief is recommending that the Vermont city dismiss an officer facing criminal charges related to a pornography investigation. David Schauwecker is accused of taking and viewing pornography seized as evidence in a criminal case.
Around 40 Daniel Webster College students gathered to hold a candlelight vigil to mark the end of the college's flight operations program. College officials announced last week that the program would be phased out as current students graduate.
Two female suicide bombers carried out a deadly attack on two subway stations in the Russian capital during this morning's rush hour. At least 37 people are dead and some three dozen injured. No group has come forward to claim responsibility for today's bloodshed.
